Happy Halloween!

This is the first year that both of the girls have been old enough to understand Halloween and participate in all the festivities, so we have had a lot of fun....

A Halloween message from the girls!

Cassidy showing the cat that she has a tail, too!

Our first Halloween adventure was trick or treating in old town Fort Collins on Friday morning. We got 15+ inches of snow on Wednesday and Thursday, so it was pretty cold out. I almost didn't take them, but we have been every year since Cassidy could walk, so I decided we could tough it out.

Showing off the costumes before getting bundled up...

All bundled up and ready to go, a true Colorado Halloween!

Friday night, we carved pumpkins. Carving pumpkins last year was difficult, so I wasn't sure how well it would go. Luckily, Cassidy's fear of fuzzies is gone and they both did great, even helping do some of the carving!!

Tonight we went trick or treating in our neighborhood. Since we have lived in Colorado, we have never gotten more than a couple of trick or treaters each year, but the new neighborhood is much more family oriented and we were happy to see a lot of kids out trick or treating. Cassidy and Kayla enjoyed identifying everyone else's costumes (unless they had a mask, then Kayla just ran away screaming.)

We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!
