We took Cassidy in Kayla in for portraits yesterday to commemorate 2 years for Cassidy and 6 months for Kayla. We use Portrait Innovations and have always loved them. They are great with the kids and we always get lots of great poses to choose from. They are also very reasonably priced! This time didn't go as well as the other times we have been there, though. I thought for sure that Kayla was going to be the problem as she skipped her morning nap, but it was her sister, who loves pictures and is usually a ham for the camera that was a pain in the you know what! As soon as the photographer started talking to her, she clammed up. She fought us the whole time, crying, whining, clinging to us, running out of the studio, etc. At one point, we bribed her with chocolate (I know-horrible!), which only lasted about a minute before she decided that she just wanted the chocolate, but wasn't going to work for it! Luckily, Cathy and Mike are in town and came to help me. If I had been by myself, I wouldn't have made it through! I was tearing my hair out as it was with help! The photographers were great and tried so hard to get her to cooperate, but she just wasn't having it. Still, we got a few good ones of each of the girls.
Here are the ones we ordered of Cassidy...
Pouting

You can't tell, but Cathy is kneeling behind Cassidy (who is sitting on a stool) and Cassidy is leaning on her shoulder. She wouldn't let grandma leave her side, so Cathy kneeled down behind her and had to try to stay out of the shot.
The only smiling one we got

Refusing to sit up straight, but looking cute anyways!

Kayla was easier to get good ones of, although you can tell in some that she didn't get am morning nap from the bags under her eyes!

We tried really hard to get the two of them together, but Cassidy just wasn't having it! We didn't get any great ones of them together. This is the only even halfway decent one we got of the two together...

Of course, after all was said and done and we were picking our poses, we couldn't keep Cassidy out of the studios as she seemed to want to be in everyone else's photos!!! Oh well! We'll be back in 6 months for Kayla's 1 year portraits and maybe we'll get some of the two together then!!

Such cute pictures and funny story!! Sounds exhausting though- hopefully you got a nap afterwards!
This is why we don't do professional photo's. Too much trouble!
